The forest fires in Portugal have killed 19 people

In Portugal wildfires killed 19 people, two were missing, reports Reuters referring to local authorities. Fires covered the Central part of the country.

Cause intense forest fires was the hot weather and strong winds which helped the fire spread. According to authorities, most victims were caught by fire on the road in the area of the settlement
Pedrogao-Grande, where the fire was blocking the traffic. The fire injured about 20 people, including six firefighters.

In the area of the fire left President Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa. As reported by Portuguese newspaper Publico, in the ring of fires were several rural settlements. They have no electricity. Local residents are trying to leave the areas where spreads the fire.

At the end of may in three regions of Russia due to forest fires was declared a state of emergency. The fire damaged the Krasnoyarsk and Stavropol Krai and Irkutsk oblast. In Krasnoyarsk region because of the fires and no homes were more than 500 people.
