The foreign Ministry confirmed the information about detention of the Russian yacht ship of the DPRK
The press attache of the Russian Embassy in the DPRK, Denis Samsonov, told RBC that the Russian yacht Katalexa it had detained a North Korean vessel in North-Western part of the sea of Japan.
“At the moment we know that the yacht is in the port of Rajin. She was taken there on Thursday at 22:00 local time. The crew consisted of three people. Details now we find out,” — said Samsonov.
According to him, the Embassy established an emergency headquarters headed by the Minister counselor of Russia in the DPRK. “The Ambassador is personally involved in the decision of all important questions. Diplomats of the Embassy carefully review all incoming information. Concurrently sent requests to the North Korean foreign Ministry and border authorities of the country”, — said the press attache.
According to the representative of the seaside yacht club, the ship Katalexa distilled from Taiwan to Vladivostok, and along the way, the boat came into a South Korean port of Pohang, reports “Interfax”. The interviewee noted that the ship was recently renovated and was in good condition. He also said relatives of the crew about the incident, but they were unable to contact the crew.
