WASHINGTON, 13 Dec — RIA Novosti. The Russian Embassy in the U.S. confirmed to RIA Novosti that for the first time in 25 years that they had not received congratulations from the US authorities on the Day of Russia.
“We can confirm that from the American side is not received the Day of Russia. Is the first time in our memory. Draw your own conclusions,” said the Embassy spokesman Nikolai Lahonin.
Earlier, two of RIA Novosti source in diplomatic circles said that for the first time in 25 years the Russian Embassy in the United States had not received congratulations from the American side on the Day of Russia.
