MOSCOW, June 11. /TASS/. The police did not consider the incident from the accident car pedestrian that occurred on Saturday night near the Central train station of Amsterdam, a terrorist attack. This was reported by The Associated Press (AP) citing a statement of law enforcement.
According to his information, the police considers, that “there is no indication” that the incident is somehow linked to extremism. In his Twitter militiamen said that “it’s not like that (hitting a car on a pedestrian — approx. TASS) was intentional”, but noted that the investigation continues.
As reported by British newspaper the Daily Mirror, the incident occurred on 10 June at 21:00 local time (22:00 GMT). Drove the car admitted hitting on passers-by in an area where no vehicle traffic is prohibited.
In the result, eight people were injured, two of them were hospitalized, five medical assistance was provided on the spot. Previously reported five injured.
The driver that hit the pedestrians, was detained, it is interrogated by the police.
