The number of people killed in major road accident in Transbaikalia increased to 11

The death toll in road accident in Transbaikalia has grown to 11. As reported by the Agency TASS in the hospital Petrovsk-Zabaykalsky district, another victim in the accident, the woman died in the ambulance on the way to the hospital.

Earlier it was reported about 10 dead, 41 injured. Currently in the Central regional hospital of Petrovsk-Zabaykalsky delivered 24 victims, and 17 more are in the way.

KIA bus carrying pilgrims to Chita from the village Urluk after the procession, drove into a ditch and overturned. Believers went to the monastery of St. Barlaam, a hermit Chicago. Presumably, the driver lost control.

The incident occurred at about 20:30 GMT in Petrovsk-Zabaykalsky district, seven kilometers West of the village of Hohoto, 702-m kilometer of the highway Irkutsk — Chita “Baikal”.

The interior Ministry of Russia sent from Moscow a group of traffic police officers to clarify the circumstances of the accident. SK of Russia on Transbaikalian edge has started preliminary examination under article “services that do not meet safety requirements”.

According to the head of Petrovsk-Zabaykalsky district Andrey Kuznetsov, in the place where the accident occurred, repairs were carried out, and it was removed a border fence.
