Transport Minister responded by saying in the posts about the leak of Russian pilots

Maxim Sokolov

Minister of transport of Russia Maxim Sokolov turned to folk wisdom, commenting on reports of mass layoffs of Russian pilots moving to work in Asia. On Saturday, June 10, reports TASS.

“Not so devil as he is painted. Indeed, there is information that many Russian pilots now in foreign airlines, particularly in Southeast Asia, but actually in this regard, there is a big problem”, — assured the official.

Earlier, on 9 June, the newspaper “Kommersant” published an article stating that in 2014 Russia left more than 300 pilots of civil aviation. The specialists of higher qualification get a job in Asian companies. The publication notes that the massive leak has affected other Russian carriers like S7, “Ural airlines” and “Vim-Avia”. Causes of labor migration are the higher wages. So, in China, the average salary of a pilot ranges from 17 to 25 thousand dollars a month (968 thousand of 1.42 million). In Russia, the co-pilot now gets 320-350 thousand rubles per month, the aircraft commander — 470 thousand, the instructor is more than 500 thousand rubles.

After the appearance of this publication, the state Duma sent a request to the Minister of transport. “We ask to explain the reason for such a situation and indicate the measures taken to reduce these trends,” — said the Chairman of the Committee of the lower house of Parliament on labour and social policy Yaroslav Nilov.
