MOSCOW, June 10. /TASS/. Radio engineering troops of Russia for 2016 found more than 2 thousand foreign combat aircraft, including 800 intelligence. This was announced by the chief of radio engineering troops of Air and space forces (VKS) Russia the General-major Andrey Coban.
“In 2016 the duty forces radio-technical troops was discovered, and escorted over 600 thousand objects, more than 2 thousand combat aircraft, including more than 800 reconnaissance aircraft”, – he told on air of “Echo of Moscow”.
According to the General, in the result, the troops were put in readiness number one for last year more than 4 thousand times.
In this case, said Coban, the number of violations of the order of use of air space was reduced to 16 in 2016, with several hundred in previous years.
“Today we are working effectively at the intersection of the state border, and I can tell you that violators of the state border compared to previous years was much less,” he added. The General said, this, in particular, was facilitated by the fact that in the past year under the leadership of commander of the VKS was carried out around 40 raids.
