Syria has accused the US coalition in the deaths of 14 civilians in an airstrike
In the result of air strikes inflicted on Syria by the international coalition aircraft in the U.S., killing 14 civilians. This is stated in the report, the Syrian government Agency SANA.
According to the Agency, airstrike in which civilians were killed, was caused by area of Mafrak al-Jizra in the city of raqqa. In addition, the result of air strikes an unknown number of civilians were injured.
Earlier, the evening of 8 June, the international coalition aircraft struck a third airstrike on the troops supporting Bashar al-Assad. The strike was near the town of Al-TANF. The official representative of the coalition, Ryan Dillon stated that the decision to strike was made because of the threat posed by Pro-government connections in the area for ground forces participating in the operation.
The coalition, the U.S. provides air support to Kurdish units who participate in the battles for Raqqa. To start the operation to liberate the city groups of the Syrian opposition SDF, which includes the Kurds, announced on 6 June. Raqqa is considered the unofficial capital of the banned in Russia organization “Islamic state”.
