Russian President Vladimir Putin will discuss in Astana with the head of China the situation on the Korean Peninsula.
“Attention (at the meeting of Putin and XI Jinping) will be paid to questions of cooperation of two countries within the SCO framework, and will obviously be affected problems which affect the situation on the Korean Peninsula”, – told reporters the Russian presidential aide Yuri Ushakov.
He added that the leaders can discuss other issues, including regional and international agenda.
Ushakov said that the meeting will be held on 8 June on the sidelines of the summit of SCO leaders in Astana. He recalled that the July 3-4 visit of the Chinese leader to Moscow, so his meeting with Putin in Astana “will be quite short.”
