Saratov doctors were obliged to report about the pregnancy of Schoolgirls
SARATOV, 5 Jan — RIA Novosti, Eduard demjanets. The Ministry of health of the Saratov region has obliged the chief doctors of the hospitals to inform the police about cases of pregnancy of underage girls, said the order Department.
According to the document, physicians must report the pregnancies of girls under 16 years of interruption, the flow of young mothers, as well as about the detection of violations of the integrity of the hymen and sexually transmitted infections in girls under 16 years of age.
In the regional Ministry of health order explained the need to promptly obtain information about possible crimes related to sexual inviolability.
It is emphasized that the law “About bases of health protection of citizens in the Russian Federation” allows the disclosure of medical confidentiality if there are reasonable grounds to believe that the harm to the patient caused by illegal actions.
The order was developed on the initiative of the regional Department of the Investigative Committee and agreed with the regional Prosecutor’s office.
