The magazine The New Times will close

In the comments, the journalist confirmed that the publication really ceases to exist. “The money ran out, Leon, that’s so,” said Albats, the question of the publisher portal 7×7 Leonid Silberg about the reason for this decision. She added that the details can be read in the latest issue (released 5 June).
In may The New Times has received a warning from Roskomnadzor for an interview with a terrorist from Kaluga. In the opinion of the Supervisory authority, it contains the signs of justification of terrorism. In February 2016 Roskomnadzor drew attention to incorrect references to journal the “Right sector” — edition has not indicated that the group is banned in Russia. Prior to that publication for nine years did not cause any issues at the office.
In August of the same year the printing house “Pushkin square” refused to print another edition of The New Times, even though he worked with him for eight years.
The magazine was published weekly from 1943. In the Soviet Union were published under the name of “New time”.
