The UN security Council expanded sanctions against the DPRK

The UN Security Council on Friday, June 2, unanimously approved a resolution expanding sanctions against North Korea. Stream vote was carried on the website of the world organization.

The resolution urges Pyongyang to immediately halt missile and nuclear activities. Also, the document confirmed the commitment of the world organization to resolve tensions on the Korean Peninsula by political and diplomatic means.

Yesterday the Deputy Minister of foreign Affairs of Russia Gennady Gatilov said that Moscow is not going to enjoy the right of veto in respect of resolutions on the DPRK.
