Russia is open to constructive dialogue and mutually beneficial cooperation with Ukraine, despite the unfriendly steps by the Kiev authorities. This is stated in the message of the Russian foreign Ministry, published on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the signing of the Treaty of friendship, cooperation and partnership.
“Despite the openly hostile actions of the current Kiev authorities do not tire of repeating that the Russian side is open to constructive dialogue and mutually beneficial cooperation. We have no doubt that sooner or later we will come to need to restore full-fledged relations between our countries and peoples”, — said the Agency.
According to the report, the coup in Kiev in 2014 led to the fact that the current relations between Russia and Ukraine “is far from the spirit and letter of the Treaty of 1997”.
“However, the very existence of this document serves as the guarantee of a Foundation for the revival of bilateral relations”, — stressed the foreign Ministry.
Earlier the Russian foreign Ministry expressed the hope that Kyiv will overcome the “orange virus”.
