The official representative of Russian foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova asked the head of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov to organize a trip for the Finnish TV reporter interested in the topic of alleged persecution of LGBT people in the region.
“Mr Kadyrov, today we present a representative of the Finnish television, which is very interested in the topic of the presence in Chechnya of gays or their absence. Could you organize a tour in Chechnya with the journalist, where he can find the answers to all his questions,” – said Zakharov.
“You go to Chechnya, to communicate with representatives of NGOs, local journalists and make the normal report – addressed to the diplomat to the correspondent. – Why do You politicize this issue? I understand that the theme of love. Let’s go there”.
