The official representative of Russian foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova said that Russia and the United States carried out contacts at the level of the respective representatives on the issue of settlement of the situation in Ukraine.
According to her, the whole international community “individually, as a country, collectively, in international organizations, confirmed the relevance of the Minsk agreements and, one way or another, the viability of the Normandy format”.
“There are a variety of related mechanisms to support the Normandy format. Contacts are ongoing between Russia and the United States by the appropriate representatives,” — said Zakharov.
However, she stressed that no one talked about the need to change the format or develop a new package. “All agreed that everything that is signed, is enough to move towards a peaceful settlement in Ukraine”, — said the official representative of the foreign Ministry.
