The Ministry of culture of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Korea Embassy in the Russian Federation will sign on Tuesday a Memorandum of understanding and cooperation to the festivals of Russian and Korean culture in 2017-2020, according to the press service of the Ministry.
The ceremony will be held in Moscow theatre “New Opera”, it will be attended by Deputy Minister of culture of the Russian Federation Alexander Zhuravsky and Ambassador extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Korea to Russia, Pak Ro Beck.
“The parties shall closely cooperate in order to promote and expand cooperation among countries in the field of culture and tourism, agreed on the holding of festivals of Russian and Korean culture in 2017-2020, with the support of governments and cultural and tourist institutions of the two countries”, — said in a Memorandum.
The document requires the parties to develop joint projects in the field of culture and tourism, to encourage them, to encourage the holding of seminars, meetings and events in the field of music, cinema, painting.
“The Memorandum of understanding does not create rights and obligations governed by international law. Cooperation and exchanges under this Memorandum are implemented according to the legislation of the two countries and within the available human resources and budgets”, — the document says.
The Memorandum will be valid until 31 December 2020.
