People’s artist of the USSR, first Deputy Chairman of the Duma Committee on culture Iosif Kobzon made in Lugansk with a concert devoted to Day of border guard. On Sunday, may 28, RIA Novosti reported.
The singer said that sanctions do not scare him, and he intends in the future to come with concerts in Donetsk and Lugansk.
“I surprised my colleagues who, fearing sanctions, do not want to come here. Miami is closer to them than the Donbass. I think debt, especially if it is my homeland, I was born on this earth to be with those people who are in difficult, extreme situations. I think I can do and how there may be to thank these brave people”, — said Kobzon.
According to the artist, he never picks up a special repertoire for performances in the Donbass. “What I’m singing in Russia, I sing in the Donbass, maybe a little bit add theme of military liberation”, — he explained.
After the concert, the representatives of the Ministry of state security of the self-proclaimed Luhansk national Republic (LNR), in whose control are the guards handed Kobzon a sign of the head of service of the border guard “For special merits”.
In March it was reported that Kobzon is planning to perform concerts in Donetsk and Lugansk in may at the song festival.
Kobzon regularly travels with concerts in the DNI and LC. Because of its position on Ukraine, the artist was included in the black list of the European Union, and Kiev shut him entry into the country.
Iosif Kobzon is a Russian singer. He was born in the Donetsk region. Hero of labour of Russia, people’s artist of the USSR. In 2015, the year he was awarded the title of hero of the DNI. In the summer of 2016 the contractor handed the passport of citizen of the people’s Republic of Donetsk.
