Experts have called the beaches of Europe with the cleanest water
Moscow. May 27. INTERFAX.RU Almost all the beaches of Monaco, Cyprus, Malta, Greece and Austria received the highest rating for clean water, according to a report by the European environment Agency (EEA) and the European Commission.
The study is conducted annually in Europe, a report compiled on the basis of 2016, the water analysis was carried out on more than 20 thousand officially registered bathing areas.

More than 85% of beaches in Europe, which were evaluated by the experts, meet the highest quality standards. In water were not found harmful to humans and the environment pollutants, contaminants, waste water. Thus, according to the report, the minimum standards correspond to 96% of the coast of Europe. In five countries the quality of water is recognized as excellent by almost all the beaches: Luxembourg (100%), Cyprus (99%), Malta (99%), Greece (97%) and Austria (95%).

The number of coasts of the poor condition of the water was reduced in 2016 from 383 to 318, amounting to 1.5% of the total number of beaches. Most of these places were identified in Italy, France and Spain.
