The state Duma adopted in the third final reading the law, which introduces a new type of visa for foreigners giving permission for temporary residence in the country, follows from the database of the lower house of Parliament.
The list of ordinary visas to enter Russia was supplemented by a new document that will be issued to a foreigner or a stateless person for a period up to four months if he has a permit for temporary residence issued by the territorial authority of the interior Ministry.
In early may it was reported to build the equivalent of a green card on which Russian-speaking foreigners will be able to find a job in Russia. Called ID is “map of the Russian compatriot”, it is planned to issue foreign highly qualified specialists.
Currently coming to work in Russia, foreigners must obtain either a migration card for a period of three months, or work the patent, which is valid for not more than a year.
