Moscow. May 25. INTERFAX.RU the Leaders of the NATO countries took a decision on joining the Alliance to the US-led coalition against the terrorist group ISIS (banned in Russia), said on Thursday NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg.
“NATO decided to become full-fledged members of the global coalition against ISIS,” he said at a press conference in Brussels.
The Secretary General reminded that all NATO members individually already joined the coalition
Joining the Alliance, the coalition does not mean that NATO will participate in the fighting, said Stoltenberg. He stressed that NATO will perform a coordinating function and to participate in political discussions of its members.
