Ex-economic development Minister Ulyukayev faces up to 15 years in prison
The former Minister of economic development Alexei Ulyukayev charged in the final version, said the Investigative Committee of Russia.
He is accused on charges of receiving a bribe by a person holding gosdolzhnosti, in especially large size.
Part 6, article 209 of the Criminal code provides as a punishment deprivation of liberty for a term up to 15 years, fines of up to semidesyatiletnego sum of the bribe with deprivation of the right to occupy certain positions for up to 15 years.
Alexei Ulyukayev, was detained at night on November 15. TFR claims that the Minister was caught red-handed while receiving $ 2 million.
According to the investigation, law enforcement authorities asked the company “Rosneft”. She complained that the Minister extorts from it a bribe for positive feedback, allowing the company to purchase state-owned shares “Bashneft”.
The legality of the transaction on purchase “Rosneft” shares of “Bashneft” the investigation does not cause problems. The ex-Minister is not guilty and considers the incident a provocation.

In the investigation of the case Ulyukayev Moscow’s Basmanny court on 29 November and 14 December arrested the property and funds of the ex-Minister: 10 plots of land and residential building in the Smolensk region, as well as the money in the accounts and coins made of precious metals worth about 500 million rubles.
