The state Duma approved the new regulation of meetings of deputies with voters
The state Duma adopted in the second reading a bill equating a meeting of deputies with voters to rally. It is reported Agency city news “Moscow” on Friday, may 19.
According to the amendments, the Deputy must apply to the relevant authorities notice street meeting not earlier than 10 days before the event and no later than seven days before him. While meeting with voters in specially designated areas the provisions of the law will not be distributed.
In the first reading the bill was passed by the lower house of Parliament on 5 April. Its author was a member of the Duma Committee on state construction and law Irina Belykh (“United Russia”), among the co-authors — members of the same faction Magomed Selimkhanov and Irina Guseva.
8 February it was reported that the St. Petersburg authorities have equated the meeting of deputies of city legislative Assembly to rally, their conduct would be consistent with law enforcement.
At the end of last year, the city Duma adopted a law requiring the Metropolitan and municipal representatives to coordinate meetings with voters at rallies. Without notice of the city authorities can only be meeting.
