In front of the Capitol in Washington, built the transition for the ducks

Near the Capitol in Washington, DC has installed ramps for ducklings. This publication reports the Huffington Post.

Structures designed and built by the Federal Agency “Architect of the Capitol”, responsible for the operation and improvement of the Capitol complex in cooperation with the nonprofit organization, City Wildlife, which rescues wild animals in Washington. Ramps were needed to help the birds to move through the rim, surrounding a reflecting pond in front of the Capitol.

According to City Wildlife, a Mirror pond is home to four families of mallards. The head of the organization Anne Lewis (Anne Lewis) said that the lack of ramps could lead to the death of ducklings. How birds crossed the edge of the pond in the past, is not specified.

The Congressman from the Republican party, mark Walker (Mark Walker) has condemned the spending of public funds. “If it looks like a duck and walks like a duck it must be a loss government”, — he wrote in Twitter. The post attracted about 3.8 million comments. “Why do you hate ducks?” — Walker asked one of the users. “You have to be a monster to call it a waste,” writes another.
