Deputy Minister of the Russian Federation Alexei Volin said that the ban of the popular Russian social networks and online services on the territory of Ukraine impossible and will only lead to the education of legal nihilism in the country, users will bypass the lock.
President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko on Tuesday approved the NSDC decision on the extension and expansion of the list of natural and legal persons of the Russian Federation, in respect of which the sanctions. The extended list included 1228 physical and legal entities. 468 In particular, the sanctions include a ban on the provision by service providers on access to resources and services “Yandex” and Mail.ru including to the social networks “Vkontakte” and “Classmates”.
“This is a wonderful example of emotional, but completely unrealistic solutions. Because if you have resources that have sustained an audience of millions, it is quite clear that the only reaction of their users to the lock is the downloading of anonymizers, VPN, and other programs that allows you to bypass the lock,” said Wolin RIA Novosti.
“Since we are talking about extremely popular in Ukraine, the services, their users, of course, between habit, convenience and the decision of the state authorities choose to habit and convenience. So they discrediting the decision of the authorities, and the authorities thus raising the population of legal nihilism. No other results of this decision of the Ukrainian authorities can not have”, — concluded the Deputy head of the Ministry of communications of the Russian Federation.
