The police of the city of Nyagan of Khanty-Mansi Autonomous district opened a criminal case against 41-year-old local resident, who tried to open the ATM in the hospital. On Tuesday, may 16, reported the press service of the regional Department of internal Affairs.
The investigation is carried under articles 30 and 158 of the criminal code (“Attempt at theft”).
The duty of the police received the message about the fire of ATM installed in an urban clinic. In a course quickly-investigative actions it became clear that the fire was the result of a failed attempt to steal money.
Being in financial difficulty male entered the hospital building through a window. He opened the ATM machine with gas cutting equipment, when the fire began, which was destroyed one million 14 thousand roubles. The man began to choke on the smoke and panicked. Abandoning his equipment, he fled the scene of the crime.
The police have established his identity and arrested.
