Poroshenko believes that the Ukrainian passport will be very attractive
KIEV, may 12 — RIA Novosti. Ukrainian passport will be among the 40 most attractive passports to the world after giving Ukrainians the right to visa-free travel to Europe, said President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko in an interview to the channel “1+1”.
The EU Council approved on Thursday a final decision on granting Ukraine visa-free regime. Poroshenko said earlier that the agreement will be signed on may 17. After that the decision will be published in the official journal of the EU, and after 20 days, the Ukrainians will be able to travel to the EU without visas. It is expected that a visa-free regime will come into effect approximately June 11. The EU Council stated that the European Union suspend the visa-free regime with Ukraine in case of problems with migration and security.
Poroshenko sure that obtaining the right to visa-free travel to the EU will help to improve the international reputation of Ukraine.
“Ukrainian passport will be included in the 40 most attractive passports to the world about the possibilities of travel. Already the proud Ukrainian passport, and this is a very important achievement. Already no we will not mix with any country in the world, and I want to congratulate,” said the head of state.
