The Ministry of internal Affairs of Russia has summed up the demonstrations of the all-Russian action “Immortal regiment” across the country, considering the number of participants. Relevant data are published on the Agency’s website.
So, in Moscow took to the streets of more than 850 thousand people, reported the official representative of the Ministry of internal Affairs of Russia Irina Wolf. This is a record for the capital. The procession was headed by Russian President Vladimir Putin with a portrait of his father, Vladimir Spiridonovich Putin. The head of state took to the campaign the third time.
In the Urals, the far East and Siberia to the “Immortal regiment” was joined by more than 1.6 million participants. According to the interior Ministry, this is more than twice last year’s result.
In particular, in the Urals Federal district on the streets with portraits of veterans of the past 600 thousand people (in 2016 130 thousand).
In the Siberian Federal district in the action took part 780 thousand people. “It’s on 327 thousand participants more than last year”, — stated in the message of Ministry of internal Affairs.
More than 285 thousand people joined the “Immortal regiment” in the far Eastern Federal district. It is 170 thousand more than in 2016.
