Pamfilova questioned the need for a single day of voting

Question transfer a single voting day requires extensive discussion, said the Chairman of the Central election Commission of Russia Ella Pamfilova. Her words leads TASS on Tuesday, March 28.

“I want nothing now to say. Don’t want to take on the mission statements. I have not formed an opinion whether we need it [a vote] at all. (…) There are pros and cons, let’s leave this question open,” she said at the meeting with the Chairman of the party “Yabloko” Emilia Kabanovoy.

According to the CEC head, if still leave a single day of voting, it must be fixed in October-November or April.

Slabunov, according to the Agency, gave Pamfilova package of proposals on improving the electoral legislation. In particular, the party proposes to hold elections on all levels on the second Wednesday of November.

February 28, deputies from LDPR in the state Duma introduced a bill to postpone the parliamentary elections from September to April. The authors also suggest to vote no on Sunday and Wednesday.

The President signed a law introducing a single voting day in 2012. According to him, the regional elections should be held twice a year (March and October), and only one — the second Sunday of September. In the summer of 2015 in the fall also had Federal parliamentary elections.
