March 27, Russia celebrates the professional holiday of national guard troops (Regardie). The structure of the Ministry, established on the basis of the internal troops and special forces of the Ministry of internal Affairs (MVD), was finally approved by presidential decree of September 3, 2016.

In Regardie serve more than 340 thousand people. Of these, nearly 160 thousand employees were taken from the interior Ministry. Together with the people switched tasks of the units with which they served.
