In Crimea ended large-scale exercises airborne

MOSCOW, March 24. /TASS/. Large-scale exercises of airborne troops ended on the ground Opuk in the Crimea. On Friday reported the press service of the defense Ministry of Russia.

“During the exercise the Marines of groups of forces of fast reaction in the interaction with the forces of the black sea fleet and the aerospace defence forces of Russia have worked out a number of tactical missions: airborne, tactical and naval assault, the conduct of antilanding defense in conditions of enemy jamming, the stages of firing, with the use of bomber, assault, army aviation, airborne vehicles, artillery and small arms”, – stated in the message received by Friday, TASS reported.

“The main purpose of command-staff exercises – done” – are reported words of the commander of the airborne troops Colonel-General Andrey Serdyukov, under whom they were held.

In the exercise, conducted from March 20, involved more than 2.5 thousand people, 600 units of armored and motor vehicles, a large landing ship “Caesar Kunnikov” more than 45 aircraft and helicopters.
