The Federation Council appointed the Prosecutor of the Novgorod new Deputy Prosecutor General

The Federation Council has appointed Wednesday at a meeting of the new Deputy Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation; vacant seat after the resignation of Sergey Vorobyev took the Prosecutor of the Novgorod region Andrey Kikot.

The vacant position of the Deputy Prosecutor General came after the Federation Council on March 1, released by Sergei Vorobiev from his post in connection with the retirement on superannuation.

As reported Tuesday at the meeting of the first Deputy Prosecutor General Alexander Buksman, Kikot will be the Deputy Prosecutor General in the southern Federal district.

Andrey Kikot works in the Prosecutor’s office since 1998, from 2007 to 2011 — Deputy Prosecutor of St. Petersburg. In December 2011, he was appointed Prosecutor of the Novgorod region.
