Russia is ready to share with Syria’s experience in the fight against terrorism, which she received in the North Caucasus. This was stated by Vice-speaker of the state Duma, the leader of the Duma faction “United Russia” Vladimir Vasilyev on Monday, March 20, TASS reported.
The parliamentarian noted that Russia “has paid a terrible price to pay to stop international terrorism in the North Caucasus”.
“We have a little experience, who are ready to discuss with you and use if it seems right”, — Vasilyev said the Russian deputies and members of the parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) with the Chairman of the Parliament of Syria All Abbas.
Vice-speaker of the Duma also stressed that Russia had no choice but to uphold the “sacred struggle” of the Syrian authorities with radical terrorism.
Earlier Monday it was reported that the Russian delegation, arrived in Syria, composed of parliamentarians from all four Duma factions. The group PACE was included parliamentarians from Spain, Italy, Czech Republic, Serbia and Belgium.
On 13 February, the coordinator of the parliamentary group of friendship with Parliament of Syria Dmitry Sablin said that Russian parliamentarians invited the Syrian colleagues in Moscow. In addition to the capital, they can visit Grozny, said Sablin.
