Press Secretary of the billionaire said that Rockefeller died peacefully in her sleep Monday at his home in the town of Pocantico hills (new York), the Agency Assosiated Press.
David Rockefeller — grandson of John Davison Rockefeller, founder of Standard Oil and the first dollar billionaire in the history of mankind.
He was born in new York on 15 June 1915, he graduated from Harvard University, studied at the London school of Economics and political science, defended his PhD in Economics at the University of Chicago.
During the Second world war worked in military intelligence in North Africa and France, starting as a private and rising to captain. After the war, in 1946, he began his career at Chase Manhattan Bank, and in 1961 became its President.
Twenty years later, in 1981, resigned due to reaching the maximum allowable by the Charter of the Bank of age for this position.
