Macedonia has extended the visa-free regime for Russians for another year

Macedonia unilaterally has extended the validity period of a visa-free regime for Russians to March 15, 2018. This was reported on the website of the Embassy of Russia in the Balkan country on the social network Facebook.

“The attention of the Russian citizens, intending to visit Macedonia, – stated in the message of the diplomatic mission. the government of the Republic of Macedonia adopted a decision to extend a unilateral visa-free regime for Russian citizens for one more year – to March 15, 2018.”

“This means that the citizens of Russia to enter the territory of Macedonia, it is sufficient to have a passport and insurance – clarify at the Russian Embassy. This procedure is applied only for a short trip to stay in Macedonia without a visa can not exceed 90 days within every six months from the date of first entry”.

This decision, however, does not negate the necessity of obtaining visas for Russian citizens who intend to exercise their labour and entrepreneurial activity on the territory of Macedonia, or sent for education in Macedonian educational institutions.
