He said that the message about the incident was received at the ambulance station on 14 March early in the morning local time. Went on a call five medical teams. “However, four people died even before arrival of the vessel in the port of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky,” — said Karpenko.
According to him, in addition, four sailors after providing them with medical aid was delivered to the Department of hospital therapy № 2 of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, another victim was in intensive care. Kamchatka regional hospital named Lukashevskogo, its condition is estimated as very heavy.
A source in the transport Ministry told RIA Novosti that “Emerald” is moored in the port of the capital of Kamchatka in the morning on March 14 with the bodies of the four crew members on Bord. According to preliminary data, before they died, they drank methyl alcohol.
Karpenko explained that three of the nine poisoned live in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, the others — inhabitants of other Russian regions. All on Board were 27 people.
