“The suspect was a 36-year-old native of former Yugoslavia living in the city of Wuppertal”, — stated in the message.
It is noted that three people were seriously injured. According to preliminary data, the man acted alone.
The evening of 9 March at the main station of düsseldorf armed with ax man attacked the people who were there. First he attacked the passengers in the car of one of trains then ran on to the platform. While trying to escape from the police he was injured jumping off a railway bridge. The malefactor was detained and taken to hospital.
