NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg expressed serious concern that the government partially internationally recognized state of Kosovo is planning to create its own regular armed forces on the basis of existing regional security Forces.

“I conveyed the serious concerns of the allies about the recent proposals of the Kosovo authorities to transform Kosovo security Force into the armed forces without constitutional changes. I made it clear that unilateral steps are useless,” he said.
Stoltenberg added that called on the Kosovo authorities to remain in close contact with the official Belgrade.
