Chief editor of RT and Sputnik Agency Margarita Simonyan commented on the accusations against RT and Sputnik by the staff of the candidate in presidents of France Emmanuel Makron.
“We are pleased that the team of Macron continues to build a campaign solely on lies about RT and Sputnik. Not comme Il faut, but funny”, the statement says Simonyan.
Advisor of Macron Munir Mangoubi earlier on Saturday issued the following accusations against the Russian Agency Sputnik and RT, accusing them of spreading false information about Macron. He again did not provide evidence to support their claims.
Similar statements have already been made by the team of Macron. In mid-February, the campaign headquarters of the movement “Forward” (En Marche!), the leader of which is the macron, as well as two colleagues of the politician declared about cyber attacks from Russia on the campaign’s website and database.
The press service of the Sputnik already denied the words Mangoubi, saying that his words are just another attempt to manipulate public opinion.
Sputnik France and the RT has previously rejected accusations of Macron in the attacks against him in the Russian media, calling them false and unsubstantiated. While Sputnik France has invited former Minister of the economy to his Studio for an interview so he can articulate his political position.
As reported by Sputnik in France, attempts to talk personally with representatives of the Macron on the subject of allegedly false information about the policy have been made repeatedly. In particular, the last such attempt was made last Thursday, again the answer was obtained. In this earlier representatives of the Makron has repeatedly invited on the air to clarify the position and provide evidence, but the headquarters of the applicant did not do that.
The official representative of Russian foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova, commenting on the accusations, suggested that the Macron does not give rest to the laurels of former presidential candidate Hillary Clinton.
