Novak spoke about the prospect of Russia joining OPEC

Russia has no plans to join the Organization of countries-exporters of oil (OPEC). This was at the energy conference CERAWeek said Russian energy Minister Alexander Novak, his words leads RIA Novosti.


 


“Today do not consider the question of Russia joining OPEC. But our interaction at this stage showed that there is the need and feasibility of cooperation between the countries from the point of view of cooperation and the development of new technologies”, – said Novak.


 


In his speech the Russian Minister of energy also said that our country now has proven oil and gas reserves for more than 50 years. The cost of production, at the moment, is $ 10-15 per barrel.
