The Governor of the Kirov region, Igor Vasiliev read at the reception before March 8 verses of own composition, according to the website of the regional government. Local portal “Sveucilisni.Russia” claims that caught the plagiarism.

“Igor Vasilev has refused official speeches and read poems that he wrote for the Kirov women. The final phrase: “we Have all the snow whiter than snow, / And I can tell you without looking / In Russia all the prettiest, But all the beautiful women in Vyatka!” — caused a storm of applause in the hall” — said the press center of the government of the Kirov region.

According to the portal “Sveucilisni.of the Russian Federation”, the Governor altered the poem of the poet Alexander Volya, which he published on his page in social network “Vkontakte” in 2014.

In his version, the work ends with the following lines: “we Have all the snow whiter than snow, / and we Have more rain all in strength. / In Russia all the prettiest, But all the beautiful women in Russia!”
