In the Center of the Roerichs explained searches in the Museum
Vice-President of the International center of the Roerichs (ICR) Alexander Stetsenko called the cause of searches in a Moscow mansion Lopukhins. According to him, this is due to financial dispute, the radio station “Moscow speaking” on Tuesday, March 7.
“The investigating authorities and taken off and we have pictures. The Museum staff did not allow it. Of course, this decision is material to the dispute. We in the court Monday for eviction. The decision to destroy the Museum,” — said Stetsenko.
Earlier Tuesday it was reported that law enforcement officers blocked the building of the ICR in Moscow. Investigators seized approximately 200 exhibits of the Museum and called the workers of the center for investigative experiment in the Museum.
ICR — international public organization, which is located in the Lopukhins ‘ estate in the Small Znamensky lane. The building also houses the Museum by name of N. K. Roerich.
In 2016, the government ordered to transfer the Lopukhins ‘ estate to the operational management of the State Museum of Oriental art. He repeatedly and unsuccessfully appealed to the court, trying to challenge this decision.
