A bolt from the blue covered skiers in the resort of Tignes in the French Alps. In the disaster area is the search and rescue operation.
The exact number of people trapped under the snow, is unknown. According to the local gendarmerie, the avalanche could cover at least 10 employees.
As have informed RIA Novosti the representative of the Federal tourism Agency, the Agency has no data on whether there are victims among the Russian tourists skiers.
Local media reported that due to bad weather conditions, rescuers still could not use the helicopter to search for missing skiers. It is also reported that in the last days in the area of avalanche was heavy snowfall.

In February, a result of an avalanche in the French Alps killed four people.
The largest in recent years in the number of victims the avalanche occurred in January in Italy. Then under the snow was the hotel Rigopiano and 40 of its residents. Total killed 29 people, 11 have been found alive.
