In the French air force serviceable only 51% of Rafale fighters – media

Almost half standing in the air force and the French Navy Dassault Rafale fighter jets are faulty. About it reports the edition Jean-Dominique Merchet, in turn citing published by the Ministry of defence of France data on the level of serviceability of the aircraft of the air force and naval aviation.

The article States that as of December 31, 2016 for the air force of France are 98 fighters the Dassault Rafale, while healthy ones are only 49.3%. The Navy is 41 fighter, only 56.6% of which are airworthy. Thus, the serviceable aircraft are 71.5 of the total, standing on the arms, the paper concludes.

The author noted some progress: at the end of 2015, the health score in the French air force was 49%.

It should be noted that the data for fighter-bomber Dassault Mirage 2000N remain inaccessible due to the fact that these machines belong to the air component of the strategic nuclear forces. Total in service with the French air force are about 150 such aircraft.
