Birthday Vivaldi will be celebrated in Moscow
The Center for the arts on Volhonka in the framework of the project “Unknown Vivaldi” will feature little-known works, some of them will be performed in Russia for the first time.
ST. PETERSBURG, March 5. /Offset. TASS Natalia Mikhalchenko/. Birthday musical genius of the Baroque era by Antonio Vivaldi (1678 — 1741) is noted in the Moscow Centre of arts on Volkhonka with the performance of his little-known public works in the framework of the project “Unknown Vivaldi”.
This was reported by the correspondent of TASS singer (soprano) and great-niece of Alexander Pushkin Natalia Pavlova. Her performance together with Nikolai Gladskikh (countertenor) and “New Russian Quartet” will be the evening’s program.
“Antonio Vivaldi was born March 4, 1678. We celebrate his birth gentle Baroque Opera. And if “seasons” by Vivaldi on everyone’s lips, many of his works are performed rarely, or not at all fulfilled. Our presentation is designed to acquaint the public with the rarest works of the composer. The program will include unknown arias from cantatas and operas by Antonio Vivaldi and Concerto for string”, — she told.
Musical rarities
In the evening, there will be an Aria and a duet from the oratorio “Gloria” Domine dues and “Laudamus te” cantata for soprano “Vengo a voi luci adorate”, “Usignoletto bello”, “Cessate omai cessate”, Anastasio’s Aria from the Opera “Il giustino”, “Vedro con mio diletto”. The selected works will be performed in Russia for the first time. Rare musical score was provided by singer Natalia Pavlova, living in Rome, Italian conductors. “These are the treasures from the collections of the Roman libraries and private foundations Italian musical groups”, she said.
