Named the most dangerous diseases of the skin

American doctors have listed the most dangerous for human skin diseases. A study published in the journal JAMA Dermatology, briefly about it, reports University of Colorado at Denver (USA).

The list, compiled by scientists, includes dermatitis, acne, hives, psoriasis, viral skin diseases, fungal infections, scabies, melanoma, pyoderma, skin cancer (except melanoma), ulcers and focal alopecia.

They caused the most disability-related skin diseases. Separately, the authors emphasize the regional features characteristic of the occurrence of disease.

For example, skin cancer common in the U.S., whereas in India and China the disease is much rarer. Scabies is most often seen in people living on Islands in the South Pacific and Africa.

Doctors say that skin diseases are the fourth leading cause of disability (in the aggregate of past with a similar status), second only to anaemia, tuberculosis and diseases of the sense organs.
