Media: Pens used private email for business contacts
WASHINGTON, March 3 — RIA Novosti, Alexei Bogdanovsky. Vice-President Mike Pence as Governor of Indiana used a private e-mail for business contacts, e-mail was hacked in June 2016, the newspaper reported the Indianapolis Star.

The law of Indiana does not prohibit the officials to use private email, but traditionally interpreted the law so that private mail regarding the working issues, should be preserved for future control over the actions of the officials. Pence gave his private email to conduct state clarifies the issue.
