The Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on social policy Valery Ryazan offered to pay extra to parents for the birth of the first child. He told this in an interview with RT.
“Now the demographic situation is not in our favor. Moms are young women born in 1990-ies. As you know, then there was a demographic decline, so it’s sparse population. In this regard, prospective parents need more support measures,” — said the Senator.
According to Ryazan, similar allowances should be granted without limitation of use. They are supposed to pay the Federal and regional budgets.
