Omsk deputies have paid truancy assistants hired by the relatives

The Prosecutor’s office of Omsk found evidence of numerous irregularities in the spending of budget funds by the city Council members who hired their own relatives for the posts of assistants and paid for their days of absence from work, reports TASS.

“The majority of deputies of the Omsk city Council in the timesheet time his assistants (including relatives) as of the periods actually worked improperly included the days on which assistants were located outside the region and sometimes outside the country. And these days were paid from the municipal budget,” – said the Prosecutor’s office.

The Prosecutor also stressed that the Omsk city Council has taken the decision to increase the Fund of remuneration of assistants of deputies on 15 February, despite objections from the Department and if there is significant underfunding of socially significant issues.

Earlier it was reported that the Omsk deputies have forbidden to hire assistants relatives.
