Electoral legislation of Russia can be issued to the electoral code for the next elections to the state Duma, which should take place in 2021. This opinion was expressed by the Chairman of the CEC of the Russian Federation Ella Pamfilova at the meeting with the leader of “Fair Russia” Sergei Mironov.
During the briefing, she told reporters that much of what was discussed at the meeting, including the proposals of the “Fair Russia” in many respects coincides with the views of the expert community, many members of the CEC, with her personal opinion and the position of the CEC.
“I believe that many of them will form the basis of the work, the discussions at the working group, which is currently being created on behalf of the President at administration of the President. And maybe, as one of the options to the next parliamentary election cycle it will all be generated even in the form of the electoral code,” – said Pamfilova.
She stressed that this “idea for discussion”. Previously, she has repeatedly advocated the creation of the electoral code.
