Moscow. June 19. INTERFAX.RU Ex — Director of “Gogol-center” Alexey Malopolski detained by law enforcement officers in Moscow.
“Malopolski, was arrested today as part of the investigation of the criminal case of embezzlement in “Gogol-center” on the basis of materials obtained in the course of the investigation,” — said the Agency a source familiar with the situation.

At the end of may in the “Gogol-center” and the home of its artistic Director Kirill Serebrennikov were searched in the case of embezzlement of large sums of money. According to investigators, the money was stolen in the nonprofit organization “the Seventh Studio”. They were allocated to “projects for the development of theatrical art”.
